dcr Deceased Member Registered: February 2004 Posts: 1,317	Straightback is a 1890' mountain that lies immediately west of Mt Major - many hikers who visit Major also take the relatively short hike from Major to Straightback to experience the fine views west from there, since Straightback blocks views to the west from Major because it is nearly 100 ft higher than Major is.
