In an attempt to show what an extensive view this house at the top of Longstack Mt ( in Wolfeboro near the Wofeboro-New Durham-Alton line) must have, I have tried to merge 2 telephoto shots, with limited success. The top part of the picture shows just the house, as seen from the start of the entrance road to it, .6 miles away. The bottom part shows the house in the context of its general surroundings at the top of the mountain (rather poorly, tho), where it appears to be the sole structure there. This part of the photo was taken from the top of a small mountain (6 mi away) just west of Rt 11 near the northern part of Alton Bay. The house is oriented toward the north (lots of glass on the north wall, with what appears to be a glassed-in deck, and a second-story room with even more glass). From that vantage point the onlooker can see over Lakes Wentworth and Winnipesaukee to the major mountains of northern NH, from Moosilauke in the west, to the Franconia Range in the NW to Mt Washington and Carter Dome in the NE
