The most eroded portion of the Ossipee Range volcano is the easterly one, so from the center of the collapsed volcano it is possible to get a view to the outside if you can find a high enough vantage point. This is a view easterly from Bayle Mt (about the size of Mt Major), near the sunken center of the Ossipee Range. A few features outside the volcano are labeled, but the focus is on the inner features of the range. 2 of the 5 inner ponds are seen and named, as well as a number of the smaller mountains of the easterly side of the range. These include the cluster of small mountains called the Nickerson Mts, seen to the left of center. Oak Mt is just left of Conner Pond, and Knox Mt is just left of Moody Pond, only a small part of which is seen here. The road into Conner Pond winds between Rattlesnake and Sheep Mts, which are at the extreme eastern edge of the range. Outside the range you can see Ossipee Lake, with its guardian mountain, Green Mountain, beside it, and Silver Lake, to the north of Ossipee. Mt Kearsarge, just above N. Conway, is seen at the far left on the horizon.
