Before you asked McD: the black & White car in the middle of the street is a 53 Ford (I had a 54 just like it) and the yellow & white car is a 53 Chevy http://www.1953chevrolet.com/images/...4D_SEDAN_Z.jpg. The blue 2 door in foreground is a 53 or 54 Hudson Jet which was only made for those 2 years http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hudson_Jet.
I would say the photo was from 53 or 54 based on the cars I can identify.
