Piper Mt, 3rd highest peak of the Belknap RAnge, has a 3/4 mile long narrow summit ridge, with many areas of open ledge from which outstanding views can be obtained. At the extreme southern end of the summit there is a very large (2 acres or so) area of open ledge from which expansive views of the surrounding countryside can be had to the S, W and E. At the far right is the western slope of Mt Belknap. This shot of these ledges was taken from Middle Route in Gilmanton.
