While bushwhacking across the steep southern slopes of Turtleback, in search of the Castle property line there, I came upon this fairly large deep-woodlands falls, situated on a small brook that drains the slope just west of the well-known Bald Knob, a large rocky outcrop that provides marvelous views of Winnipesaukee and its lakeside mountains. The falls drops over a set of steeply declining leges and opens up the woods in that spot, making it easy to see and appreciate. The brook is seasonal and not a lot of water was flowing, but I hope to go back after a big rain event to see what it looks like with great volumes of water flowing over it.
