As visitors at Castle in the Clouds drive up the mile-long entrance road to the Castle, they have the option of stopping the car and walking several hundred yards on a carefully graded path in to the Falls of Song, a 50-ft waterfall. For the last 100 yds or more the path becomes a boardwalk, as you enter a narrow, steeply-walled gorge, where the brook often overflows to the sides of the steep walls and would often wash out a dirt path. This photo shows Shannon Brook as it passes along the boardwalk at the beginning of this very constricted section of the brook's passage.
