Grant Rd is off Rte 11A in Gilford. Here you look due west at Gunstock. This view shows Gunstock's premier ski lift, the Panorama lift. At the bottom of the photo you can see a level area on a bluff on the eastern shoulder of the mountain; a few years ago Gunstock created its newest hiking trail, called the Overlook Trail, using that bluff to provide a fine outlook (with an upclose view of the eastern Belknaps and Lake Winnipesaukee) for users of the trail. The trail was designed for summer hiking and for winter snowshoeing - it ends up in the col on the ridge connecting Gunstock and Mt Beknap.
