I once owned a Hobie-16—which is about as basic as a catamaran can get. Given the kind of "Broads-wind" in this photo, this would be a thrilling ride!
This Hobie-16 (#16608) appeared in a different photograph at the www.wolfeboro.net forum (a forum that has since "expired") so I'd guess the boat and skipper—in the blue PFD—sails out of the Wolfeboro area.

"Common Sense" isn't.

Actually, this Hobie is from Rattlesnake Island! That is our son, Ben with a neighbor. They ended up turtling the cat over near the entrance to Winter Harbor. I watched with my telescope while they righted it. Many boaters stopped to ask if they needed assistance, which was great. This was Ben's first outing on such a vessel and he absolutely was hooked.
