On a very quiet day, I was alerted to the distant crash by overhearing a conversation between a boater and someone on shore. Only an hour after the crash, it is shown here being retrieved from its "no-power" crash in waist-deep waters off Ayer's Point. No one was injured, and from a close-up view by boat, there was no loss of fuel. To the airframe, there was only light damage to one wingtip. A related photo (of mine) of the dunk was featured on the front page of Wolfeboro's Granite State. News in 2001.
