A shot across Manning Lake to Whiteface Mt, taken from the most remote part of the lake, where no cottages or roads allowing access are to be found near-by. In fact, the entire eastern shore of the lake is free of cottages and still primarily wild and natural, and it is likely to remain that way due to a conservation easement severely limiting development. Manning Lake is a relatively quiet lake, often visited by fishermen like the 2 seen in this photo, who, having traveled the entire distance of the lake to reach this quiet cove, are at a spot where fishing is an experience similar to that experienced in a former time.
