Shannon Mt is a small mountain with grand views, in several directions. Here we see the summit as it is viewed from the parking lot of the main camp at the Hidden Valley Scout Reservation in Gilmanton. Shannon's west slope comes steeply down to the shores of little Lake Eileen, which is the main attraction at the scout camp at this reservation site - there is another scout camp located elsewhere on this 3500 acre scout reservation. The ledges we see are on the west side of the summit and provide the widest views possible at the peak - there are 2 other ledgy sites at the top, on the south and NE sides, which also provide fine views.
