dcr Deceased Member Registered: February 2004 Posts: 1,317	While driving south on the Kings Highway between Wolfeboro and Middleton, the motorist is suddenly greeted, while rounding a curve, with the potentially startling appearance of the menacing head of a giant roadside shark. There are a number of examples of this type of roadside rock art in the Lakes Region, with animals like giant sharks or giant frogs being created when the rock's shape lends itself to such a flight of fancy.

Thanks for the posting of "Sharptooth"! So named by my then 6-year old son when we first purchased our place on Merrymeeting.

We drive past him on our way to the lake, and his appearance was always the exciting indicator that we were about to arrive.

FWIW, someone recently updated the paint job.
