Description: This photo was taken at the Corner Store in Moultonboro in 1954. I haven't noticed whether this wagon still sits outside?? I remember that they used to keep a HUGE wheel of cheddar cheese inside that you could hack off a piece and purchase. My family used to refer to it as "Rat Cheese"....it was fantastic!

Description: This was a particularly good day's catch of bass during the summer of 1954. I love this shot because on the back in my Dad's handwriting it says "Rog was teed off because he couldn't hold the fish all by himself".

Bare Bottom Beach 1954

Description: This shot is a "flash back" to the days on the lake when you could beach your boat on virtually any island on the lake to have a picnic, swim and/or camp overnight. This photo is taken at one of our favorite places to go and picnic/swim. Our family used at call it "Bare Bottom Beach" because swim suits were strictly optional equipment for the afternoon swim. The shot is actually taken on Dow Island during the summer of 1954.
