Default Wolfe City Pizza Sold

Wolfe City Pizza was sold to Straw Cellar Fudge . Hope this doesn't change the pizza as we have finally gotten a good pizza place in town. Being from outside New Haven Ct. , where the famous Pepe's is, I liked Wolfe City. Don't change it you've got a winner!!

Well, these people haven't owned the fudge shop for that long, so maybe they did something else before. Pizza???? I don't know.

Have to say that I am a little concerned too. Very difficult to get decent pizza here. Other than Elvios, Wolfe City was the only one that we liked.

Have you tried Bayside Grille in Wolfeboro or Pinecone in Tutonboro? Same owner, same pizza, closest to NY pizza that I've found here in NH. AAnthony's in Wolfeboro is also very good.

Heath's Super in Center Harbor has Freschetta's frozen pizzas in a few styles for like $5.25 which are excellent, plus there's no additional 9% NH meals tax because it's frozen. Try the Freschetta pineapple, bacon, and cheese.....you'll like it!

Freschetta's frozen pizza with no dreadfull 9% tax.......live free or die!

Default It's true..

I can confirm that Wolfe City Pizza is now owned by the Straw Cellar Fugde owner. I spoke with a friend who has been working there for a while now and he confimed it. He will continue to work there and provide the same great food we've enjoyed this past summer!

Default Why did Barbara sell Wolfe City Pizza?

Does anyone know why Barbara sold it? I know she took her portable pizza oven down to FL for winter, is she going to stay there? I hope the new owners continue with the recipes and great food that Barbara provided. It had become our fave place.

Has anyone been since it was sold? It says brick oven. Is it the same oven as before?

I did hear Barbara was moving to Fl. and that she is there this winter. I don't know if she will be back for the summer. She is trying to sell her house so may be back at least for a while until it sells????

Default Wolfe City-still excellent pizza

We have been there for last 3 or 4 Saturdays, and it's still yummo. We go to O'Brien's Pet Supply on Bay Road for dog socialization at 10am, then obedience class at 11:30, then pizza at 12:30 -- at least until it is time to get the boat in the water.
