Default License to Fertilize

Since I am a commercial operation that offers lawn care services, do I need to be licensed or have a permit to apply fertilizer on lawns I currently service?

dmjr,

This type of question is going to have many variables involved. To start with it will probably depend on what town your in. Then from there the proximity to any water source, the type of firtilizer you are planning to use etc. etc. etc...... My advice, if this is for a business venture is to either retain legal help to advise you of the laws, or dig into the laws on your own..... Remember in the end your providing a service, and it is your responsibility to make sure your work falls with in the limits of the law.

Donny I think it is 25 feet from the water you cannot put fert down. No matter what. You cannot put down liquid fert with out a license. If you do pelitized (like scotts) I believe it is okay to do that, but not with in 25' ft of the water. I will double check this with my fert guy and let in over the next few days.
