Default Sunrise

Sunrise Wednesday 9/13/2023.

It was a surprise to see any sun this morning when there is a 90% chance of rain today. Oh great, we need more rain!

Great picture, however, I failed to see the sun just lighted clouds.

Wowza, red sky in morning, sailors take warning, they are not kidding; and that rain will be here soon. Sending some thoughts and prayers to those who were devastated in Leominster, Fitchburg and many other spots with all this rain and flooding. Stay safe, everyone!

Default Margate Sunset 9/22

On this evening my daughter Megan married her best friend Nick at the Margate . Why the Margate , Megan has grown up on the lake since she was 5. Her love of the lake was significant in many ways and she chose her tables to be named after islands on the lake. I’m grateful to the Paugus Bay Marina team , the Margate staff and all the local vendors who made her day truly amazing . And to the neighbors I apologize for the fireworks display at 10 but hope you enjoyed them as much as our Megan , Nick and all our guests did . The lake and this area we have grown to love so much over the past 22 years.

We closed up a little earlier than normal this year and have moved to the mainland. While we still have one boat in the water, we will most likely go out one more time for an afternoon visit only. Our overnight visits are unfortunately over….not looking good this weekend for a visit…..maybe next weekend!

Thanks for the sunset Slick!

It sure seems that way Tis...We are normally out there right into November but this year we have some things to do at our mainland home so we decided to end it a little earlier.

We kinda feel like it's time to pull the plug and reset for next year. It's been a pretty blah season with all the rain, and we're hoping for a refresh!

Agree. Pulling all the chairs and cushions early. With the wet weather forecasted and cooling temperatures it will be difficult for each to dry before storing. Hard hat required to rake the lawn and leaves

It does! Probably Think is right, the rain kind of discouraged everybody this year. It was not a great summer weatherwise. And yes, winni, the acorns are awful!!
