Hole in the Wall
I have been on the lake for many years but never took the time to ask this question. When you are heading into the no wake zone to Hole in the Wall, the Big Brown house on the right, is this an actual restaurant our someone's home? Many times you see people on the deck or the outside bar and we have always been curios?

I used to live in The Hole in the Wall and I do believe that the home you are talking about is just that, a private home. I go thru all the time, and I'm wondering why you think it's a restaurant? It's the huge "compound" with the carved bear in front, that you are talking about? Cow Island is on your left?

Hole in the Wall
We weren't sure as I looks like a great place for a restaurant and yes it looks like a large compound.

The family that used to live there were the Rogers..I'm not sure if they're still the owners, but, they were a good sized family way back..may still be them!

I'm not exactly sure who lives there, but if we are talking about the same place, the house you're referring to is on Little Bear Island and it is a private residence.
I think the current owners have been there for 5 years or so. There is generally a lot of activity at that camp all summer. Source: Currently engaged to the neighbor's daughter. Last edited by B-Laps; 06-29-2014 at 07:02 AM. |
