Default Cate Park Vandalism

My daughter told me tonight that the bronze statue of the old man and boy with ice cream cones in Cate Park has been vandalized with neon paint. What a shame. I hope the police can find the vandals. Does anyone know if that paint will be able to be removed easily?

Some kids are just plain idiots eh? Their parents will be oh so proud when the kids are caught someday. Yes I believe they will be able to get the paint off. There are many new and safe removal products out there now.

Default Red and yellow paint: sports related?

It's spray paint on bronze: a rag with acetone should remove it.

I think they should find the jerk who did the painting and make them wear orange prison scrubs while they clean the statue from head to toe. Then they should be responsible for cleaning the park once a day ( wearing the prison orange outfit) in the summer months or risk a hefty financial penalty if they fail to do so. The financial penalty should be two times the value of the statue.
