Default Moultonborough Area Horse Stuff?

My almost-11-year-old daughter is infatuated with horses. She currently rides, and works, at a barn in southern NH a few days a week, but when summer comes that gets cut down to once a week since we're up at camp in Moultonborough most of the rest of the time.

Does anyone know of, or have contacts at, a barn in the Moultonborough area that might like to have a young worker/rider? I'd love to find a situation where she could work for some lessons or trail rides over the summer.

Thanks!

Default Lakes Region Riding Academy

Think;

Might be a little too far for you but i'll throw it out there anyway... In Gilford, Lakes Region Riding Academy is awesome! I sent one of my young friends on Welch Island there this past summer for lessons and barn help and she had an absolute blast!! Julie the owner is super nice and a great teacher!

Default 4-h ?

Not clear what you/she really wants. I Goggled stables in Moultonborough NH and several options popped up. Do commercial operations have age restrictions on staffing? Do you really need a private horse owner?
The Sandwich Saddle-ites is a horse and veterinary focused 4-H club. When I was a kid in a horse 4-H, we pretty much knew anybody that owned a horse within a 20 mile radius. The local clubs hosted horse shows with competition in equitation and barrel racing to egg and spoon. Lots of fun. In my experience, horse 4-H was mostly girls 12-18, so she might be able to connect with somebody her age who would share.

At last check, Castle in the Clouds no longer does horseback riding.

Descant's suggestion of the Sandwich Saddle-ites might be perfect, but I'd still be open to an "in" someone here might have or something a bit more on the lowdown rather than straight up lessons or a club.

Default More contacts?

BSA and GSA have horsemanship merit badges/patches. The respective counselors will have names of suitable horse owners who have likely gone through a background check.
Put a notice on the bulletin boards at Tractor Supply, or whoever sells feed etc. in Moultonborough. Do your own background check.

A good friend, Dani runs C2C Eventing, she is based in CH but moves the operation to SC in winter. In season, she is up on that beautiful farm on 25B

Another friend runs Lakes Region Riding Academy, but she is on the other side of the lake.

Either lady would be glad to chat with her I am sure! Both are on FB.

Their barn for winter riding is in Moultonborough off Rte 109 near 171. I've ridden there, nice people, good operation.
