If you would rather dance than eat, if you hanker after live fiddle tunes, if you crave the merriment of plain old kitchen junkets, then it's time to bring you bring your two left feet to the celebration of country folks' old-time frolics. Laconia Historical & Museum Society hosts Adam Boyce as he presents "Sprightly Steps: New Hampshire's Contra & Square Dancing Traditions" Boyce's lecture will include French country dancing heritage along, English country dancing and the French-Canadian heritage of Vermont/New Hampshire.

Location: Laconia Public Library, Rotary Hall (located on the lower level)
