Default Patrician shores

Does anyone have any old pictures of Patrician Shores or have any info on the development of this association. I heard that it was once owned by the Cardinal of Boston.

Don't know if it was owned by a cardinal but I do know it was a summer retreat for the priesthood.

I have heard similar as well -- from years back.

Didn't know it related to the development currently known as Patrician Shores, but I was told that all the land behind the popular sand bar there was owned by the Arch Dioceses of Boston !

Default Organized crime link?

I had heard that in the '70's the organized crime Patriarca family laundered money by buying large amounts of Winni lakefront property, one of which was called Patrician Shores. A lot of property around the lake was tied up due to follow-on investigations and litigation.

Organized Crime / Catholic church

synonymous ?

(don't mean to offend anyone - just couldn't help myself)

Default Organized Crime Link

My understanding is that Raymond Patriarca and his colleagues bought what is now Patrician Shores, Balmoral and Suissevale and developed the properties - and it was a method of money laundering. I met Patriarca once - an evil little dude.

Having lived in Laconia, I heard bits and pieces of one family owns the 3 development above and another family that developed Gunstock Acres. There were chatter on the scanner that dead bodies were found on the Gunstock Acres site. I don't see this in the papers.

The Spanos family (Shangra La) and the Antico family (Margate) had indirect ties to the mafia. A local DJ was known to be investigating the ties and was found shot to death in his car one night (Neal Seavey). The case went cold.
