Default Lake Winni Collectibles

I look through E-Bay every once in awhile.. couple of nice items up for bid

they are:

Lot of two books
1.Three Centuries On Winnnipesaukee by Paul H. Blaisdell, Second Edition, 1975, hardcover
2.Farewell Old Mount Washington, The Story Of The Steamboat Era On Lake Winnipesaukee, by Edward H. Blackstone, 1969, softcover,

1903 BIRDS EYE MAP OF LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE, N.H.

http://cgi.ebay.com/1903-BIRDS-EYE-M...QQcmdZViewItem

I have collected all of these before.. so I'm not bidding...

PS.. I don't know either of the sellers.. just putting this out here for other Winni History nuts.

I'm always looking for Lake Shore Park stuff... but I know the lead bidder... Nice lady.. I don't want to get in a bidding war with her.

Honor among bidders...

Default "The Old Gilford Playhouse"

Here's another interesting one. An old playbill from the Gilford Playhouse signed by John Raitt. For those who aren't familiar with John Raitt you may be familiar with his daughter Bonnie Raitt.

Autographed program by John Raitt when he preformed in the musical Carousel held at the Gilford Playhouse in New Hampshire in 1980.In good condition.

Thumbs up Phenomenal Talent

Thank you Mcdude,

I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree, as in Bonnie.

I had the great pleasure of attending one of Bonnie Rait's perfomances at the Boston City Music Hall in the early 70s.

This should bring it all back; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z04r_tlWdRs

McDude - I remember riding past the playhouse and asking my mother & grandmother, "Who's John Raitt?" That was in the days before Bonnie was famous. They both knew, and when Bonnie came along, I recalled that her father had appeared at the NH playhouse.
