Applebees Thanks Veterans . . . Again

On Veterans Day, this coming Thursday, November 11th, Applebees Restaurants are again thanking all veterans and active duty military with a free entree.

Sal's Pizza in Belmont (Belknap Mall) never drops the ball on this, either, and so: (copied from a flyer)

This Veterans Day November 11 come in and show your Military ID or DD-214
showing you were Honorably discharged and receive a large cheese pizza free.

We will also be donating $2 from every pizza sold that day to the Disabled American Veterans, DAV.org.

I did not know about Sal's offer. I made plans to go to Applebees with my DD214. I heard about this last year, but had lost the 214, and have since acquired a copy from the records location.

My Father-in-law, 90 and a veteran of the China Burma India Theater - Army Air Corp in support of Merrill's Marauders. Took advantage of it - enjoyed his meal.

My son, a contracted ROTC student at Norwich Univ, and his friends were able to take advantage of it as well. They made a party of it.

A friend in Florida said that Golden Coral will offer meals this week!
Nearest to NH is on NY and places south.
Search websites if planning.

Thank you Applebees! I had a free meal and paid for person with me and a meal to-go for another who was unable...

Ocean State Job Lot is running a 30% discount for all military folks from Oct 23 to Nov 5th. Shop as usual, and when at the register, state you are participating in Operation Thank you, show your ID, and get the discount! Not sure how close the stores are in the lakes region, but I do know there is one in Peterborugh. Hope some can take advantage of this great sale!

There also was one in Hooksett at the old Walmart. Don't know if its still there.
