Default Meteor Shower This Friday

This Friday, Aug. 12th there will be a Perseids Meteor Shower. There should be about 60-80 meteors an hour. The Mt. Washington has a special cruise that night but it might be too early to see much since we will have a waxing gibbous moon (68% of moon is visible). The best viewing will be after the moon sets which will be about 1:00am Sat. The Mt. Washington web link is: http://www.cruisenh.com/ShootingStarsinSky.php

I took the dog out last night and was surprised by the show I saw... didn't realize why I saw so many until I saw this thread!
