Yup, next year will be the site's 20th anniversary. The first feature was the aerial photos that are now on Photopost. The forum and WeirsCAM were added in 1999 so this is the 15th anniversary of those popular features.

You may not recall but you asked me that question in an email last year. Here's part of my reply:

Here's a brief history with approximate dates:

1995 - Registered winnipesaukee.com and opened the website with aerial
pictures of the lake (still on Photopost) as the only feature.
1998 - Began using FrontPage for site design and started using their crude
bulletin board function as a forum.
1999 - Installed WebBBS, a CGI script based forum system.
2004 - Upgraded the forum software to vBulletin, which is still being used.

Way back when I found this website I was using a web-tv and it was an instant favorite of mine. My Daughter talked me into getting a computer and I joined in on the fun in 2002.

I think I found the site in 1999. I know the maintenance is a labor of love and appreciate it very much.

I also appreciate the forum members who provide so much information and entertainment. Please be nice to our webmaster. He lets us play in his sandbox all year 'round.
