Default Architect Suggestions

There are some old posts back in 2014 but was curious if anyone has had a great experience with a design architect recently.

We are considering taking two rooms (bedroom and storage room) and making them into one large master bedroom/suite with bath and patio doors to a deck... Old house that has some nice wood beams/wide board floors that we want to hold on to...
