Default New wrecks

Haven't dived any yet of these nor two others but one was for me (the ChrisCraft).

2013-5: Some kind of fan tail steamer
2013-6: 18 foot ChrisCraft
2013-7: Wreck broken in half
2013-8: A steamer of some kind-probably 30+ feet long
2013-9: A sailboat w/rigging up in the water column; Image likely suffering
from something called "multipath" off hull

Those are all cool, but the sailboat just amazes me. The detail is incredible.

Same here, that sail boat is amazing. Any idea how big it is?

Normally I could answer the question however the sail boat is gone, as in not there anymore.

A diver I have given LatLons to in the past for wrecks I have have found in Winni (30+- in the last 4 years) dove it the morning of 8/2, identified the nearby owner, spoke with the owner, agreed on $600 to bring it in, contacted a local dive operation to float it and tow it to their beach and went home all in the same day. Not a word to me from him or the dive operator-nothing-not a call or email-zero. I got a call from a 3rd party about it. I hadn't even dived it.

Most people with a modicum of intelligence would agree with how I felt about what happened. While no laws were broken that doesn't mean there aren't consequences.

And you wonder why I've kept LatLons to myself in the past for most of what I find.

Sorry this crap keeps happening. I for one appreciate the work you have been doing as I, and I assume many of us don't have the time (due to work and or family commitments) or the money to to scan the lake ourselves. You have provided us with some great wrecks to keep us excited about diving in the lake, to bad a couple of people have to ruin it for the rest of us. I can now see why you have not given me the numbers for some wrecks I have PMed you about as you can not trust the people you know never mind the people you don't.
