Island Names
I Posted this in the 6 Bridged island thread but did not get a response, and seems it turned into another discussion
 .Wanted to know on my mapping software at work - DeLorme Street Atlas, I know it is the latest edition just do not know the date. It lists and shows Christmas Island as Plummer Island. Do you think this is a mistake or did it at one time be named Plummer Island, and if so why. Does anyone know the history of this? Thank you |
