Stormy day
The Ossipee mountains picked up enough to look white up top, but its been raining all day at lake level and at 1PM is 41 degrees. The ground has turned into soup, since it was frozen deep during the past week and now has the top inch or two thawed. Water is running fast, since its not being absorbed.

Looks like over a foot of white stuff has collected, so far, up on top of the Ossipees. Its a regular blizzard up there.

There was 0.1" of snow at Black Cat Island Weather Station this morning during the predawn hours. The snow quickly changed to rain and it has been pouring off and on all day. The wind has been very strong from the SE, gusting up to 44 mph but generally staying around 30 mph. It's a very wet day.

A Reverse Picture
I'd be interested in a picture of the building that the webcam is attached to. Got any?

Actually, I don't, more interested on how it looks on the outside... lol However, its essentially a truck body from a tractor trailer, with the normal tractor trailer back door moved to the side. Its setting and bolted to 3 foot diameter cement piers sunk either 6 feet or to ledge. Its held down pretty good and is just over on the side of the actual top. Its sheltered from the wind on the north side, hasn't made the trip to Oz yet
Next time I'm up there, I'll snap a picture of it. |

More bad weather coming 2/22/09
This shows that more snowmobile weather is on it's way.
