Default Winter 2008 Prediction

OK - December was cold and much of the lake is frozen. What's next? What will JFM 2008 be like? Put your prediction here.

Will it be
1) warm temperatures, rain, and a long mud season
2) cold and snowy
3) some of each

My current thinking is choice 1. Winter is over before it begins.

Default Hmmmm

I do not know,
I think this winter is the long awaited snow year, one like we have not seen since at least 1996 when every week we had accumulations. I started just like this year is.

My choice number 2 - just hope that come the end of March it warms up really quick as well, so I can get the boat out of storage

I hope that's true. I miss the days of 20"+ ice thickness.

That's Al Gores global warming for ya.

Default Will be cold and what I consider "normal" winter

Snowy bouts with the artic dam breaking now and then to release some freezing cold temps - then the Pacific flow warming us up. Long range suggests just this - we'll have an early January Thaw end of the week into early next then cold slams us again with a December like pattern. Means more snow!!
