Opening Saturday north of town. They are ungroomed but the ridge runners email said they are opening.

Yup heard that too - going to be busy no doubt. If all they have is a foot of snow, nothing groomed or even packed down and no base, it's going to be tore up in a matter of hours.

Still nice to see some decent snow in place this early, hopefully a sign of things to come.

Got that same email today... I'm sure everyone is itchy after last years bust but think its best to wait a little longer. I am scheduled to go up the weekend of January 7th.

Doing the snow Dance!

Dan

Agree those trails will be smoked Saturday afternoon. But chance of snow next week so hopefully that hits hard.

Snow has been falling north of the notches on a regular basis but most of the clubs are keeping it quiet. It's looking like there might be more openings on the 15th depending on the weather over the next week.

Yeah but there isn't enough yet to ride on, was up at Twin Mt last Sunday and there was maybe a couple inches on the ground at the bottom of the base road. A ride up to Jefferson Notch road did not make much of a change. I drove all the way up to the top of Jefferson Notch to find maybe 5-7 inches on the ground. Still have a ways to go... but it looks and feels like winter which is a far cry from last year.

Even in Pittsburg it's open north of town and the good snow will be in the higher elevations.

Pittsburg picked up snow yesterday. The snow stakes on the web cams are showing a foot now and those are lowland. Hope they get snow Monday.
