Default Gas Prices 2015

Has anyone bought gas on the lake yet? I seem to have been charged $4.29/gallon by the place that launched my boat :-(

Default Yikes!

Maybe you should ask them about it - it might be an honest mistake - held over pump setting from last year.
I trailer my boat to the lake and use a regular gas station - try to avoid lake's stations as best I can but the best price I paid last year was a at West Alton Marina if that helps you

Most years the Marina's will have some left over gas that they need to process through. While some Marina's will simply eat the cost, others will try and leave the price high while they work through the end of last years gas. It isn't until they receive the fist delivery for this year, that they really know what there cost is going to be and set their price accordingly....

I have seen this before and we will see this again....

Selling gas that has been in their tanks for eight months or so at a rate that exceeds what a marina should be charging for fresh gas is poor service to the customers. Any marina doing this should be ashamed of themselves.

Not saying it does not happen, but it is so wrong.

Was it perhaps topped off last fall when it was winterized?

Bleh. Over $4 for gas that's 6 months old? Pass. I'll stick to $2.50 and below at the road pumps and use some stabilizer/ethanol shield.

While we're looking at gas prices, don't forget to use and update the gas prices here:

http://www.winnigas.com/

It's like our own private Gasbuddy app!

Load this in your smart phones (make a favorite) and as you see gas prices on the lake (or buy it), update the data here:
