Is this a joke?

If it is I don't think it is funny.

Which one of you Bear Islanders listed the lot on Zillow for 20k that requires a ROW to access?

What does that have to do with tonight's fireworks?

I am assuming this is all a rather stupid inside joke.

It’s also announced on the I Boat Facebook page, so seems like someone’s hired people to do fireworks.

I've only seen the one at Weirs/Tiki Boats posted, nothing at Bear?

No joke, just asking a simple question

Default Good show

Watched from a-far before heading off to the Weirs to see the 9:30 show sponsored by Tiki Boats and Atlas. Bear/Mark was a good show - Definitely professional grade. Having said that, we were impressed with the Weirs show - have not been to one of those for some time but motored away with the impression that it was one of the better we have seen in a while.

Sorry there are 192 homes on Bear and I don't know half of them, let alone keeping track of their Zillow postings.

I do know that many years ago the town took possession of a back lot for non-payment of taxes, then sold it at auction. The buyer may be looking to sell. But why do you assume the seller is a Bear Island resident?

192! I didn’t assume anything. Curious about a ROW required lot for sale and thought one of you would have more information. The alternative is calling the RE office which ends in to many questions and many unwanted follow ups. Must add, what are you so angry about?

When the island association (BICA) purchased the center of the island decades ago they divided up land behind each shore property so that residents could by a back lot. Mostly this would be used for septic. A few homes never bought the back lots. I guess one of them ended up for sale. These lots are deeded to be not build able even if not land locked.

I'm sorry you interpreted my writing as angry. That is not my feeling or intent.

The lot in question is on East Bear which is not part of BICA. I do not know details about it.
