Post Twin Islands from "Bald Peak Club"

7" x 9" Sepia-toned professional photo from the 1930s.

Markings on the back state, "'Lake from Bald Peak Club', no. 1575, George F. Slade, Photographic Artist, Chelsea, Mass."

Never having attended "Bald Peak Club", and looking back at my early photos taken from the old Abenaki Tower, Twin Islands looked pretty much the same as in the above photograph. As a kid, I determined that they should have been named Battleship and Cruiser Islands. (Still do).

Would that be Black Island in the center? Is that big bump near the center of the horizon Mt. Major?
