Default Gilford ranked among best places in US to buy a lake house

Saw this article online - funny the picture they show is actually of Meredith Bay I think.

Lebanon, New Hampshire.
The "Best Small Town" to live in - in the USA.

That was the headline of the Valley News a few years ago.

Having lived in Lebanon - the article was far from factual.

Come to find out - the author never visited Lebanon, NH.
The author used "statistics" to reach that condclusion.

Lebanon is right up there with Franklin and Claremont.

The Valley News article was a complete farce.

The original source article actually says that Gilford is one of the best places to buy an INVESTMENT lake property, with an emphasis on RENTALS. It's written by a vacation rental management company.

Not even written with any person's name.
So no individual responsibility for any inaccuracies.
In the business we call this a "fluff" piece.

In Gilford?
Looking down 11B across Silver Sands with Misty Harbor in the background makes more sense.

Pondguy is correct.

The picture is the condos and the Meredith Yacht Club at the beginning of Pleasant Street in Meredith.
