Default Outdoors at Lyons Den

Saturday, May 22, we three had dinner outdoors at Lyons Den. Reservations were for 5:30, and they were already full. People were all having a good time and it took a few minutes before our table was ready, disinfected, etc. It was very windy on the lake, but Glendale is protected, so no problem that way. Just in case, they had a supply of blankets ready. Roped off area in front of the building for tables, mostly groups of 4. Drinks were served outside and service was prompt as always. Full menu with some specials. We had surf n turf (prime rib and stuffed shrimp), Salmon, and a boneless duck. All excellent. Cheesecake to go for dessert. Team service kept things moving, but no pressure. They do a great job of scheduling reservations so people move in and out at a pace that matches the workload in the kitchen. It seemed like we all had not been out for awhile and wanted to linger, but people were good about finishing up so the next group could be seated. Two rounds of drinks, shared appetizer, about $150 before tip and about 1.5 hours.. They were really well prepared for everything. BTW, we made our reservation on Wednesday for Saturday. Bravo! Lyons Den.

Thumbs up Another Excellant Dinner (with a view of the lake)

Wifey and I had dinner at the Den on Friday evening around 5:30pm. We were seated in the "bar area", a couple of tables setaing 4 and a hightop seating the two of us. It is right outside the bar but great view of the lake. We shared the appetizer sampler: crabcake, stuffed mushrooms, sweet/spicy shrimp and artichoke hearts.....delicious. Wifey had the small portion of swordfish with a rasberry sauce and I had grilled salmon; both were excellant. Topped it off with the lemon cake. Barrett waited on us and was very attentive and witty. We had takeout while seating was closed and each time the food was very good. We will be back, even for outside dining, but can't wait for them to be "open as usual". Never hesitant to recommend the Den.
