As far as I'm concerned, it is here!
I went for a run at lunchtime today from my workplace in Andover, MA. While cloudy, temps were in the mid-60's. As we ran by a small brook along our route, there it was...the signal I take that Spring is really here. The peppers were peeping up a storm!!! ![]() |

Spring is taking its time in arriving and staying for good even here in NJ. Yesterday I met some fellow Verizon retirees for our monthly breakfast at the diner and left my jacket in the car as the sun was out and my car indicated the outdoor temp was 67 degrees at 9:30. At 11:00 we left the diner during a downpour and made a mad dash for our vehicles. When I started the car I was shocked to see the temp was now 47! Overnight was in the low 30's. My neighbor's magnolia tree has some buds that started peeking out about 10 days ago, but this week they haven't opened any farther. At least our snow is gone.
