It's always a lot of fun! I understand they raise the lake in the days before the race; then shortly before the race it is lowered to insure a swift flow! The dam and dam house at the end of Crescent Lake and the first portage. Entrants round the corner of Crescent Lake Putting in below the dam. Whoops!
