Post Lyons Den (Mo')

Hi all,

My wife and I stopped in for dinner this evening. We had not been there is a while and everything was very good. Service was attentive and the food was excellent. I had the duck and my wife had the lobster and shrimp fettucine.

Thanks for post. We have a reserved table for two by the window for Sunday the 19th, 41st anniversary.

We usually have the duck but will see what else is special. Then a slow boat ride back to Welch.

Happy Anniversary! Geeze, I gotta try “the duck” sometime...would not be a regular menu choice for me (my wife loves duck) but as so many seem to like it, I might make the “quack-rifice”

Tried to get a reservation for dinner before noon and they were booked. Then called back to see about a late lunch and they were booked then too. Good for them! I'm happy to see that they're busy.

My wife and I had another wonderful dinner at the Lyons Den last night.
Just to tease me they had the duck, baked stuffed scallops and baked stuffed shrimp to make choosing difficult. But then one could order special and have a little of each. Hopefully we will be able to make another dinner before leaving
to California.

Default Wonderful

Four of us dined at the Den last evening and each though it was wonderful. Fried scallops were to die for, bake stuffed shrimp were
excellent, the chicken oscar divine and the teriyaki steak tips outstanding.
The service was friendly and efficient.
Always a good experience!

Smile

Already missing Lyons Den and March is still in the distance. Good food prepared correctly and priced fairly. I miss the Baked stuffed haddock and duck.
Seafood in California leaves a lot to be desired. Mostly tilapia and some Salmon
once in a while. Preparation not up to par. They appear to poach salmon which is really peculiar. Not very tasty.
Thanks MO' for teasing my taste buds.

We go for lunch at the bar about once every two weeks. Margaux is the best as is the food.

Default Catering 4 u?

Happy New Year Woody38. No Lyons Den is your penance for spending 6 months in the land of fruits and nuts. They cater--- Maybe Lauren will send you a care package.
Oops. I shouldn't have posted--I can taste the lobster pie now. Mmm-Mmm.

Default Catering 4 us ?

Happy New Year Descant. You're correct. How could I complain. I apologize. That lobster pie sounds tasty and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Never gave a thought, an overnight from Lyons Den would be fabulous.
