Century Ski Fury
I am looking at a 1975 Century ski fury, 15'10" with a 318. Has anyone had one of these? Any good or bad information on them would be appreciated.

As a matter of fact, that one belonged to Elvis and was used in about six scenes as the tow waterski boat in Blue Hawai. Plus, it has hemispherical heads and three valves/cylinder. Maybe you remember that scene w/ Ann Margret and Elvis on the rear deck.
What the hay, go for it, as long as it's short money. almost anything is repairable, and Century made very kool boats. How about posting a photo and the asking price, huh? |

Now, can you imagine Ann Margaret posing gracefully on the deck of your pontoon boat? I'll bet that would spike the price! LOL!! |

John...
Old boats tend to bring about old problems. The 318 is not a currently supported marine motor. Some of the issues you might have will be with exhaust manifolds, carbs, alternator etc. They will be hard to find items. I don't know what that boat has for a tranny, but that could be an issue as well. On the upside, it could be a cool boat. Salt water or fresh? If its a salt boat walk away. Woodsy |
