Default I've never been on a PWC, but...

Am I wrong in thinking this is a terrible idea??

I can't imagine it's too healthy for the jet drive.

Thumbs up

I see no downside. That looks like a great use for a jet ski. They are so boring otherwise. I have 2 and use them maybe 30 minutes a summer. I would love to try that.

Not a good idea. The hull gets scraped up, and the jet drive ingests ice and whatever else might be in the water or on the snow/ice.

How about falling off and hitting your head on the ice at god knows what speed?

Default Probably ok, but...

I think that the biggest problem might be getting a chunk of ice through the intake grating and into the impeller. That would definitely cause some damage to the impeller and the pump seal. Hulls get scraped up pretty much anyhow.

The primary concern is falling into the water as hypothermia would be quick to follow.
