Sounds like Thurston's and the retirement piece would fit with the current generation of the family.

From the Thurston's website: https://www.thurstonsmarina.com/about-1
The marina has grown to encompass over 8 acres and 15 modern buildings. All this is now situated on 800+ft. of Lake Winnipesaukee frontage with docks, dry racks, and boathouses. |

I believe that Fay's Boat Yard was founded by Wilbur Fay in 1944. We have been there since July, 1963.

Those are all mid/larger sized sailboats. Photo most likely from an ocean location. Wooden tidal breakwater points to this also. The Onion at work.

My parents bought our first and second boat there. Sad that no one in the family is going to keep it going.

If the photo is accurate it certainly doesn’t look like Thurston’s. I don’t think there are many other boat yards than Fays that has so many sail boats.

Picture
Looks like the ocean to me....think it's deliberate and not a photo from Belknap County.

It is Sawyer’s. They also have been for sale for a long time.
Many businesses in the area are looking for new ownership. In addition to Sawyer’s and Thurstons ride along Weirs Blvd. Lazy E, Proctors, And other motels all for sale. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Looking for the listing on the Bean Group web page I noticed that, right around the corner, Beans and Greens is for sale also.
