Default 2014 Forum Fest -Official Invite

Hello Everyone.
This year's Forum Fest will be held on August 16th at 5:00 pm at the Wolfeboro Corinthian Yacht Club.

This is a potluck, BYOB event.

There will be a limited amount of dock space for boats at the WCYC, but the town docks are only a short walk away. Parking is also limited, but you can park at the Meredith Village Savings Bank next door.

There will be a gas BBQ available, ice tub, serving tables, trash cans etc. We will need to coordinate with each other about ice, utensils, plates and napkins. Plan for 30+ people.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in August.

This is posted on the WCYC calendar of events for August 16th:

WCYC and Winnipesaukee Forum Fest Party

Come join local lakes region visitors from the Winnipesaukee Forum for their annual gathering--this year at the WCYC. This is a potluck dinner that all are invited to. We're hoping to introduce some new faces to the Club and show them our wonderful location and facilities.

The event is being hosted by Cate Poole--WCYC Marketing Chair.

In reply to this posting I would like to clarify that the WCYC has no intention of trying to get Forum Fest people to join the Club at this event, nor will there be discussions of membership. The WCYC often shares the facilities and hosts events so that people can be aware of the Club and check it out. Nothing more. The policy of the Club is that there can be no exclusive use of the Club House and that all members are invited to events, hence the invite on the calendar. There is no hidden agenda here. If Forum members are uncomfortable with this arrangement I can remove this invite and someone else can host the event if they like. I'm okay with whatever people decide.

Hi Cate:

I think you are incorrectly reading into Rusty's response. Thanks for hosting. It looks like a great venue.

I was a little confused about the response also...actually the WCYC calendar event was pretty self explanatory about what was taking place.

I would also like to thank Cate for her hard work in getting this done.
I'm sure everyone will have a good time.

Well if that isn't egg on my face. Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part Rusty. I just wanted to make sure no one felt like they were getting recruited... or worse...hypnotized into joining...THE CLUB.

Looking forward to meeting you and please do come. Great group of people. All the details are pretty much here in this invite. Bring a dish to share and BYOB. That's it.

Default Dock Space????

Cate,

Some of us generally try and arrive by boat. Is there going to be dock space that we can use? If so how much dock space is going to be available?

Thanks

Default Boy oh boy!!

Just saw this and I am super excited! I've never made it to any of the "fests" but have always wanted to, scheduling is always the problem. We are never up when the event is happening, and our trips for the year are already planned, but don't match up date wise.......BUT....... This year we know we are coming up in August, but we had 2 weeks to choose from and one of them includes that date!!! I think we just picked our week!!! I am so excited to finally be able to get to a fest!! Hope to put some names and faces together! Man, this is great and it really just made my day!!!

Default Woohoo! Finally!

I have been on this site since the old format, probably 14 years or so by now (nearly half my life, yikes!). I'm so excited to finally be able to make FF! I moved from Colorado to NH 3 years ago and now live in Dover. It will be great to have it on a Saturday and get to meet some of these names I have seen for over a decade! It makes me want to post some new pictures, it's been a while! Thanks Cate, looking forward to meeting everyone!!!

Mike

A little razzing of glennsteely from way back when the Pats beat the Eagles in the Superbowl. All friendly.

If I bring an extension cord will there be an outlet to plug it in? I want to bring something in my crock pot.
