Default Excellent Roofing Contractor

It's not too often that you find a thread praising any kind of contractor in this forum. Of course, most are really fine but we only seem to hear about the troubles and problems we have with them.
We hired PIPER ROOFING in Belmont some months ago to have our roof stripped and reshingled sometime before the coming winter. I gave him a $200 deposit and told Bob Piper that we weren't in a rush as the existing roof had no real issues, just that it was old and I wanted it reshingled before we did have any problems. I told him we would call him when we were ready for him to do the job as we were in the process of refinancing our home and I didn't want to dip into my retirement fund to pay for the roof.
Well, before we finished the refinancing process, I got a call from Bob Piper one evening that the roof had been done that day. He told me not to worry about it and pay him when we were done refinancing
He also said, " Oh, by the way, we had a some extra shingles so we also reshingled your shed so it would match the house".
Now that's what I call service above and beyond. And, the shed was brand new, just 3 months old so it didn't need to be reshingled, he did it as a service above and beyond what he agreed to do.
Bob's crew also painted my plumbing vent pipe, my cinderblock chimney and the metal cover on top of the chimney.
The job looks great.
The cost was almost $2K less than the Home Depot quote I got.
Bob and his crew were courteous, knowledgeable and professional
He is not related to me in any way!
I highly recommend PIPER ROOFING in Belmont

As a small business owner/operator I have to say that it is nice to see someone get some positive feedback. All too often a job well done goes unnoticed. Kudos to Piper Roofing for trying to differentiate themselves from their competition by including some unexpected "extras". There are those who fall short of customer expectations. There are those who simply meet customer expectations. Both of these will most likely be forgotten. Those who consistently exceed customer expectations are most likely to succeed.

Thumbs up

Wonderful! I'm so glad you shared your experience, and with such detail! Kudos to you for publicly lauding a job well done, and Kudos to Piper Roofing for going the extra mile!

Being a contractor I hear a lot about other contractors both good and bad.
I also have heard good things said about Piper roofing.

Piper Roofing did the metal roof on my island house 2 summers ago. I can report the same quality service from them. I highly recommend them.

Default Good references

Its good to that there are still tradesman that do a little extra to get the job done and create goodwill among there customers. The little touches are what makes the difference in return business. In many cases , what the business owners advertise and their employees deliver are far apart.
I am thankful for this forum as I find it very useful and use the recomendations of the members whenever I need some work done on my lake home.
