Default U.S Coast guard boat patrolling Winni...

Anyone know why? Never seen one on the lake before.. Possibly covering due to marine patrol shortage?

Default Submarine

You may never see the submarine, but look for the periscope and hope you don't see its torpedoes. At least under military rules, the 150 foot separation and speed limit rules are suspended.

Please define the type of U.S. Coast Guard boat seen??? Are you sure it wasn't a US Coast Guard Auxillary boat?

As said Mitt Romney as the Rublican Candidate, for President is now under Sercret Service protection. Which means he has a detail assigned to him. I wouldn't however expect that they would have borrowed a Coast Guard boat, they have their own boats for such events.

See the thread: what if mitt wins

U.S. Coast Guard with their highly outfitted boats, WILL be around, not loaned boats, but with Coast Guard personnel. Very high-tech gear on board, including fire arms.

Just like highly outfitted military personnel are present on land!

You see the same type of boats escorting submarines in and out
of Kings Bay, Ga.

They are in every coastal port; friends were on a cruise ship out of Baltimore and two of them escorted out the entire distance of Chesapeake Bay to open waters. Personnel manned the bow & stern guns all the time. Serious!

They also are searching underwater. The boats are very "serious". I am sure will never be loaned, as the crew are highly trained. They may take aboard NH Marine Patrol, for the knowledge of the waters.

On another thread some posts were treating them lightly; they are very seriously protecting all of us in America.
