Default Moose sighting

Passing by Pistol Island yesterday and was surprised to see a bull moose on such a small island. I watched him eating leaves and such for over an hour and he was still there when I left. Nobody appeared home and wish I had a camera to take a picture of him standing on their brand new porch..lol. Also sighted one of the eagles near Cow Island. If The fish had been biting it would have been a perfect day on the lake.

Default is this the guy?

We live at the end of Moultonboro Neck, right across from Pistol. Two days ago, I walked into our bedroom and saw this Bullwinkle standing just beside our deck, maybe 10 feet away. Gave me a bit of a start!

He was looking at us, and we were looking at him. I had time to get my camera and take several shots. He didn't even flinch when the flash went off. Finally he meandered around the house, munched on my wife's lilacs for a minute, then sauntered off down the driveway.

Guess he went for a swim a bit later on, from the sounds of it!

Default Thats Him

He didnt seem too upset to have me so close to him as he just browsed on leaves while only occasionally looking over at me. I am sure the resident (had they been home)would have been startled to open the door only to see a moose on their deck...lol

I saw a moose on Moultonboro Neck in late July. Looks to be about the same size as the one pictured above.
