Default Amish buggy

In our travels around the country we landed in Amish country. Love these folks. Hard working and a simple life. We bought a 1890 Amish buggy in PA. We are going to have it shipped here to have it restored. It does need a new convertible top and side curtains. Not being a boat nor from the lakes Region who would you suggest I take it to here in the lakes Region to have convertible top and side curtains and even restored.

Then I need to find a horse to trot down the road and trot in parade's in the lakes region

You bought it from the best restorers in the country. Have it restored by them them first.

Yes I agree with you. That was my first thought and got an Amish quote. Very expensive. I was really surprised. And time to make convertible top 12 weeks. So looking for other local options.

Unless it was crazy expensive I would personally want it done by the Amish for authenticity purposes. Canvas work in general isn’t cheap.

That's because they have to pay their cut to the Amish Mafia!

If they can work it in perhaps Hoss and Little Joe Cartwright can get it done.

There are some folks in Conway, Margaret and Sut Marshall, who have collected 165 vintage carriages.

I suggest you seek them out for recommendations.
