Default Wolfeboro Inn

We visit the Wolfeboro inn on a regular basis; it’s on of our go-to places because you can get there by boat. We were there over the weekend and was disappointed to find out that the gitchegumee burger was off the menu. That is the most delicious burger that has ever entered my mouth. Please please please put it back on the menu! Has anybody else ever experienced that incredible burger?

Probably someone complained that the name sounded too Indian and they felt micro aggressed.

Perhaps you should contact them directly. By their website, the email is info@wolfeboroinn.com . Good luck.

So what makes it special ? They have a 'create your burger' thing going on their menu, is it too special to be made on the fly?

I took upthesauke's advice and this is the response.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write us regarding the Gichigumi burger.

While we do not have plans to put the Gichigumi burger back on the menu, I can tell you that we would be happy to make it for you anytime that you would like.

I am posting the description of the Gichigumi in the kitchen, and will review it with the staff, with the instructions that they make it whenever it is requested.

I hope that you find this to be helpful.

Thank you so much for your interest and your patronage, both are greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

Hoke Wilson

You got to check this burger out! It’s delicious. S.P.

What a great response from the Inn. I'll have to check this place out.

This has nothing to do with the wolfboro inn, but reading this made me think of it.

Traveling through Arizona a few years ago and had the best burger I have ever experienced. Seriously. Tried to recreate it at home but never got it right.

Main St Café in Clarkdale AZ, http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...e_Arizona.html

In the middle of nowhere about halfway between Phoenix and Flagstaff.

Hoke Wilson is a fabulous chef. He was so instrumental in bringing the Inn back from the brink of disaster!
