Default new song about "our" lake

Two of my wife’s nephews are members of a band in Ireland called Hermitage Green. The summer before last, during a break in their tour of the US, we invited the band to stay for a few days at our house in West Alton. We took them out in the boat, went swimming in the rain and I told some stories about growing up on the lake. The band members thoroughly enjoyed their visit, to the extent that nephew Barry wrote a song about the experience; “Lake Winnipesaukee”. They recently recorded the song and will release it for general sale on June 5th. Attached are a press release and a link to the song.

If you like the song and know a local DJ or musician who might like to cover it, the band would appreciate the exposure. While you're at it, you might check out some of Hermitage’s Green other music: The Lion’s Share, Quicksand, Gibson, etc.

Great song—would make an awesome slideshow tune for the right moments. Thanks so much for sharing, and good luck spreading the word!

Young Barry Murphy! I saw him play for Munster in Thomond Park a few times. Saw the band in Gerry Fla’s one night as well. Small world!

We've learned that WLKZ 104.9 FM in Wolfboro has a program on Sundays nights where they play local music. We've suggested that the band contact them. Hopefully they'll play "Lake Winnipeaukee"!
